- Virtual credits only. No real money, skins or coins are involved.
- Layout: 15 slots, 7 red, 7 black, 1 green. Red/black pay 2x, green pays 14x.
- House edge on every bet is 1/15, about 6.67%.
- No betting pattern changes the edge. Streaks are normal and not predictive.
What the CS2 roulette simulator does
Skin gambling sites popularised a compact roulette wheel with 15 slots instead of the 37 or 38 of casino roulette. Our simulator copies that format. Choose a bet size in credits, tap red, black or green, and watch the spin. The tool records your balance after each round and plots how it drifts over time, so you can see what hundreds of spins look like in a few seconds.
How to use it
- Start with the default 1,000 virtual credits.
- Pick a base bet, for example 10 credits (think of it as roughly CA$1 if you want a mental anchor).
- Place a bet on red or black and spin. Use the auto-spin option to run 100 or 500 rounds.
- Check the summary: net result, longest losing streak and largest drawdown.
- Reset and try a different approach, such as flat betting versus a progression.
The math: probabilities and payouts
| Bet | Slots | Win chance | Payout | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red | 7 | 46.67% | 2x | 6.67% |
| Black | 7 | 46.67% | 2x | 6.67% |
| Green | 1 | 6.67% | 14x | 6.67% |
The edge comes from the green slot. A fair 2x bet on a binary outcome would win 50% of the time. Because the green slot takes 1 of 15 outcomes away from both colours, you win only 7 of 15 times. Expected return on a CA$10 red bet is (7/15 × CA$20) − CA$10 = −CA$0.67. Over 1,000 such bets of CA$10 (CA$10,000 wagered) the expected loss is about CA$667.
Green works out the same: (1/15 × 14 × CA$10) − CA$10 = CA$9.33 − CA$10 = −CA$0.67 per bet.
Streaks and the gambler's fallacy
The chance of a specific colour missing n times in a row is (8/15)n for red or black. Ten non-reds in a row sounds rare, but it happens about 0.2% of spins. Over thousands of spins on a site, it will occur. The wheel has no memory, so the next spin is still 7/15 for red regardless of history.
The probability of 15 spins without green is (14/15)15 ≈ 35.6%. In other words, more than a third of 15-spin stretches contain no green at all, so a drought is nothing unusual.
Betting systems tested
Flat betting
The same bet every round. It has the lowest variance of any approach and the slowest bankroll decay. Expected loss is simply 6.67% of total wagered.
Martingale
Double after every loss. A starting bet of CA$5 needs CA$5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320 after seven losses in a row, for CA$635 in total exposure. Seven losses in a row on red happens with probability (8/15)7 ≈ 1.2%, which will occur regularly in a long session. Martingale trades many small wins for rare large losses and does not change the edge. Read more in our roulette strategy guide.
Green-hunting
Small stakes on green plus a base bet on a colour raise variance but keep the same edge. Use the simulator to see how a 14x hit lifts the balance chart and how long the droughts between hits can last.
Tip: run the same strategy 20 times with auto-spin. The best and worst runs will look nothing alike, but the average will drift toward the −6.67% line.
How it relates to real CS2 roulette sites
CSGOEmpire popularised the red/black/green "Empire" coin format, where a classic roulette round is settled by a provably fair seed. You can read our CSGOEmpire roulette tips for bankroll and session advice. Other sites such as 500Casino use a "Wheel" with different multipliers, and Gamdom and CSGORoll offer their own roulette variants, so always check the paytable before betting. For a comparison of games with different volatility see crash vs roulette.
If you want to try the real thing, CSGOEmpire's code case2go unlocks a Free Case worth up to 2,050 coins. Details are on the CSGOEmpire promo page.
Provably fair systems let you verify the result was not altered after you bet, but they do not reduce the house edge. Our provably fair guide explains the hash check.
Practical takeaways
- Treat roulette as paid entertainment with a known cost of 6.67% of every bet.
- Size bets so a long losing streak does not wipe you out. Our bankroll calculator helps with this.
- Set a session loss limit before you start, and stop when you hit it.
Responsible gambling: real-money roulette is addictive for some people. Gambling is legal for adults aged 19+ in most provinces (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). If you need help in Canada, call ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 or see our responsible gambling page.
Frequently asked questions
How many slots are on a CS2 roulette wheel?
The common layout has 15 slots: 7 red, 7 black and 1 green. Red and black pay 2x and green pays 14x.
What is the house edge in 15-slot roulette?
On a 2x bet the house edge is 1/15, about 6.67%. Green pays 14x on a 1-in-15 chance, which gives the same edge.
Does the simulator use real money?
No. It uses virtual credits only and has no deposit, withdrawal or cash value.
Can the Martingale system beat roulette?
No. Doubling after each loss cannot change the negative expected value, and table limits or a finite bankroll eventually stop it.
Is site roulette the same as this simulator?
The layout matches the common red/black/green format, but each site sets its own rules and extra bets, so always check the rules on the site.
Play responsibly: CS2 gambling is for adults 19+ (18+ in AB, MB, QC). Set limits, never chase losses, and use self-exclusion if it stops being fun. Free, confidential help: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600 or your provincial helpline — see our responsible gambling page.
