- Turnover = multiplier × base amount (bonus only, or deposit + bonus).
- Expected cost = turnover × house edge.
- Bonus value ≈ bonus − expected cost. Negative value means skip it.
- Check game contribution %, max bet and expiry before claiming.
How to use the wagering calculator
- Enter your deposit and the bonus amount in CA$.
- Enter the wagering multiplier and whether it applies to the bonus only or to deposit + bonus.
- Choose the game's house edge (for example 1% for crash, 2% for originals, 4% for slots).
- If the game counts partially (say 10% of each bet), enter the contribution percentage.
- Read the total turnover, expected cost and estimated bonus value.
The math
Turnover = multiplier × (bonus) or multiplier × (deposit + bonus). Expected cost = turnover ÷ contribution × edge. Net value = bonus − expected cost.
Example 1: bonus-only wagering
You deposit CA$100 and receive a CA$100 bonus (100% match) with 10x wagering on the bonus. Turnover is CA$1,000. Playing a 1% edge game, the expected cost is CA$10, so the bonus is worth about CA$90 on average. With a 4% edge slot, the cost is CA$40, so the bonus is worth about CA$60.
Example 2: deposit plus bonus wagering
Deposit CA$100, bonus CA$100, 20x on (deposit + bonus). Turnover is 20 × CA$200 = CA$4,000. At a 2% edge the expected cost is CA$80, leaving about CA$20 of value, and the variance is large relative to that. A bad run could eat your whole deposit before you finish.
| Bonus | Multiplier | Base | Turnover | Edge | Expected cost | Net value |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CA$100 | 10x | Bonus | CA$1,000 | 1% | CA$10 | CA$90 |
| CA$100 | 20x | D+B (CA$200) | CA$4,000 | 2% | CA$80 | CA$20 |
| CA$100 | 35x | D+B (CA$200) | CA$7,000 | 4% | CA$280 | −CA$180 |
| CA$250 | 5x | Bonus | CA$1,250 | 1% | CA$12.50 | CA$237.50 |
Net value is an average. Real results swing widely: the standard deviation on thousands of dollars of turnover can be hundreds of dollars.
Reading bonus terms
- Game contribution. If slots count 100% but crash counts 10%, the effective turnover for crash is 10x larger.
- Max bet. A CA$5 cap per spin means a CA$4,000 turnover takes at least 800 bets.
- Expiry. Time limits (for example 7 days) push you to play faster than you planned.
- Max cash-out. Some bonuses cap withdrawals, reducing positive-variance upside.
- Sticky versus non-sticky. Sticky bonuses are removed on withdrawal; check whether the bonus balance is withdrawable.
Skin-site bonuses
Many CS2 sites offer free cases and deposit boosts rather than traditional wagering contracts. For example, CSGOEmpire offers a Free Case worth up to 2,050 coins with code case2go, CSGORoll gives 3 Free Cases with code BONUSBOX plus a 5% deposit bonus, and CSGOFast pairs a Free Case with a 10% first-deposit bonus (code GETCASE). Free cases often carry a small wagering or deposit requirement before withdrawal. See each brand's terms through the promo codes hub, and convert coin values using the coins to CA$ converter.
Tips for approaching bonuses
- Prefer low wagering multipliers (10x or less) and bonus-only wagering.
- Pick the lowest-edge game that counts fully toward wagering.
- Size your bets with the bankroll calculator so you can survive swings.
- Skip any offer whose expected cost exceeds the bonus.
Bonuses never remove the house edge. For a rebate-style comparison, try the rakeback calculator.

Frequently asked questions
What does 20x wagering mean?
You must wager 20 times the stated amount, which may be the bonus alone or deposit plus bonus, before withdrawing bonus-related funds.
How do I know if a bonus is worth it?
Subtract the expected cost of clearing it (turnover × house edge) from the bonus amount. If the result is positive, the bonus has some value on average.
Does the game I play matter?
Yes. Different games have different house edges and many sites count games at different percentages toward wagering.
What are max bet rules?
Many bonuses cap the bet size while wagering. Breaking the cap can void the bonus, so check the terms.
Can I lose my own deposit while wagering?
Yes. Wagering is real gambling and can eat both bonus and deposit.
