- Roulette is chance. The 15-slot wheel (7 red, 7 black, 1 green) carries a house edge of about 6.67%.
- Streaks do not predict the next spin. Every spin is independent.
- Your edge comes from discipline: budgets, bet sizing and stopping on time.
- Use code case2go for a Free Case worth up to 2,050 coins to start without depositing.
We get asked for "roulette strategies" constantly. The honest answer is that no strategy changes the maths. What you can control is how long your bankroll lasts, how much entertainment you get per dollar, and how well you avoid classic mistakes. These nine tips apply to CSGOEmpire and any similar site. For deeper theory, see our roulette strategy guide.
First, know the numbers
| Bet | Slots | Probability | Payout | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red | 7 of 15 | 46.67% | 2x | 6.67% |
| Black | 7 of 15 | 46.67% | 2x | 6.67% |
| Green | 1 of 15 | 6.67% | 14x | 6.67% |
Every bet has the same edge, so there is no "safe" colour, only different volatility. Red and black win often in small steps; green wins rarely but pays big.

Tip 1: Start with the free stuff
Claim the welcome Free Case with code case2go before depositing anything. It lets you learn the interface at zero cost.
Tip 2: Practise in a simulator
Run a few hundred spins in the roulette simulator. You will see how swingy even a 46.67% bet feels, which is better learned with fake coins.
Tip 3: Set a loss limit before you sit down
Decide the amount, such as CA$50, that you are happy to lose and treat it as spent. Our bankroll calculator helps you size it against your monthly budget. When it is gone, close the tab.
Tip 4: Bet small relative to your balance
A common guideline is 1% to 2% of your session bankroll per spin. With CA$100 that is CA$1 to CA$2. Smaller bets give variance room to average out and let you play longer. Read more in bankroll management for skin gambling.
Tip 5: Ignore streaks
Seeing six reds in a row does not make black "due". This is the gambler's fallacy. The next spin has exactly the same 7/7/1 odds as the last.
Tip 6: Treat progression systems with suspicion
Martingale (doubling after every loss) looks clever until a losing streak arrives. Seven losses in a row on a red bet happens roughly once in 80 sequences (0.5333^7 is about 1.2%), and by then you are betting 128 times your base amount. Table limits or your balance will stop you first.
| Loss in a row | Bet needed (base CA$1) | Total at risk |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | CA$2 | CA$3 |
| 3 | CA$8 | CA$15 |
| 5 | CA$32 | CA$63 |
| 7 | CA$128 | CA$255 |
Tip 7: Do not chase green
Green hits once in 15 spins on average, but averages hide gaps. Going 40 spins without green is not unusual: the chance is (14/15)^40, around 6%. Betting more after each miss just compounds losses.
Tip 8: Know your coins
Site coins and skins are not the same as dollars. Use the coins to CAD converter so you know your real stake, and remember withdrawing involves fees and spreads. Our guide on withdrawing to CAD explains the steps.
Tip 9: Verify, then trust
The wheel result is generated using a provably fair seed. Try verifying one round yourself using our provably fair explainer.
Session rule we use: pick a time limit as well as a money limit. If you hit either, you are done. Many bad sessions are simply too long.
What to avoid
- Playing after a big loss "to get it back".
- Staking skins you cannot afford to lose, such as a favourite knife.
- Treating bonus balance as free money without reading wagering terms.
- Paid "signal" groups that claim to predict spins. Spins cannot be predicted.
A sample session plan
Putting the tips together, here is a simple plan you can adapt. It is not a way to beat the house; it is a way to keep a session controlled and enjoyable.
| Step | Example | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Set session budget | CA$40 | Caps your maximum loss |
| Choose base bet | CA$0.50 (about 1%) | Allows around 80 spins at the minimum |
| Set time limit | 30 minutes | Stops marathon sessions |
| Set a walk-away win | Plus CA$20 | Locks in a result before it reverses |
| Review afterwards | Note the result | Builds honest awareness |
Understanding variance with real numbers
Betting CA$1 on red for 100 spins, you expect to win about 46 or 47 times, but the spread is wide. The standard deviation of the number of wins is roughly 5, so 40 wins or 53 wins are both completely normal. At a 6.67% edge, your expected loss over those 100 spins is about CA$6.67, yet your actual result could range from losing CA$25 to winning CA$15 without anything unusual happening. This is why short-term winning feels like skill. It is not: it is variance, and the edge shows up over thousands of spins.
Why green betting feels different
Green wins about once every 15 spins, but winning once does not repay the previous losses unless you were betting evenly. A CA$1 green bet that hits returns CA$14, a profit of CA$13. If you have missed 15 times at CA$1, you have lost CA$15 and one hit leaves you slightly behind at the average. That is the 6.67% edge in action, and it is why we caution against building a plan around green hits.
Using free cases wisely
Free cases are a great way to learn without risk, but remember they are marketing. Treat what you win as a bonus, not as income. If a free case yields something modest, resist the urge to wager it all immediately to "turn it into something". Withdraw or keep what you like, and only play what you are comfortable losing.
Bottom line
You cannot out-think a 6.67% house edge, but you can enjoy roulette more by playing small, stopping on time and ignoring myths. Explore other modes in our how CS2 gambling works guide.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a winning strategy for CSGOEmpire roulette?
No. Every spin is independent and the house keeps a built-in edge, so no betting system beats it long term. Good habits only help you manage losses.
What does green pay on CSGOEmpire roulette?
On the standard 15-slot layout, green pays 14x while red and black pay 2x. Green hits 1 in 15 spins on average.
What is the house edge?
On a 2x red or black bet it is 1/15, about 6.67%. The same figure applies to the green bet at 14x.
Does the Martingale system work?
It does not change the odds and can wipe out a bankroll quickly during a losing streak or when you hit table limits.
How do I practise without risk?
Use our roulette simulator, which mimics the 15-slot layout with play balance.
